Father Francis MacAteer

Fr. Francis Mc Ateer was born in Glaiseach, Fanad, Co. Donegal in 1942. He was educated in Ballylar N.S. and St. Eunans College Letterkenny and entered Maynooth College, Co. Kildare in 1962. Fr McAteer was ordained in June 1969.

Fr McAteer has worked in various parishes in the Dioceses of Raphoe until 1989. He transferred to Scotland in 1989 until 1992 and returned to work in the Raphoe Dioceses in 1992. At present Fr McAteer is Parish Priest in Glencolmcille, working from Carrick.

Fr McAteer has great interest in World missions and is Director of the Charles De Foucauld movement in the Diocese of Rophoe which encourages Eucharist ion Adoration.

Also Ecumenism Director of Raphoe which promotes unity among world missions.
